Our guest is Erika Slocumb. A scholar from UMass, working on the research and community engagement around the project Black Holyoke. In a collaboration with the Wistariahurst Museum, Erika has been researching the archives of the museum, and the History Room at the Holyoke Public Library, and also compiling and documenting the oral history of black folks living in Holyoke, and the communities who have had a connection with the Paper City.
