🎓 Leadership Update:
USF St. Petersburg Regional Chancellor Christian Hardigree has been named the next President of Texas A&M University–Victoria.
Since joining USF in July 2022, Chancellor Hardigree has led the campus through a transformative period — from launching major student success initiatives to overseeing the construction of the new $34.3 million Environmental and Oceanographic Sciences Research & Teaching Facility and securing $7.5 million for the Office of Veterans Success.
Her final day at USF is November 3rd. Starting November 4th, Thomas Smith, Vice Provost of Academic Affairs, will serve as Interim Regional Chancellor.

💰 Scholarship Milestone:
Big news on the financial aid front — scholarship funding at USF St. Petersburg has surpassed $1 million for the first time ever! That’s more than a 20% increase from last year, with 59 unique funds supporting students at an average award of $5,416 each.
This milestone was powered by donor engagement through USF Giving Week and the annual Bulls and Brews by the Bay event. Many recipients are first-generation students, and the campus is expanding workshops to help more Bulls access these opportunities.

🚌 PSTA Partnership:
In September, USF St. Petersburg students, faculty, and staff took 7,000 rides on PSTA’s SunRunner, buses, and trolleys.
As PSTA launches its largest-ever service redesign, expect improved routes, easier transfers, and new on-demand zones. USF’s partnership with PSTA continues to make campus life more accessible and sustainable — with free rides for all Bulls.

It’s spooky season in St. Pete! Join us for the 4th Annual Halloween Fest on Thursday, October 30th, from 5 – 7:30 PM on the USF St. Petersburg campus.
This free, family-friendly event is presented by USF, the City of St. Petersburg, and Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital. Enjoy trunk-or-treating, a haunted library, petting zoo, touch-a-truck, costume contests, and other fun (and educational!) activities.
