We step into Jesus early ministry. Up to now, we found Jesus in the Temple as a young boy. Jesus walks out of that scene straight into the Jordan to be baptized. After that, Jesus spends 40 days in the wilderness, fasting and praying... and being tested (if not tempted). He leaves the wilderness and starts gathering disciples (Andrew, John, Simon Peter, Philip and Nathanael. Along this journey, we walk straight into a wedding feast. That very sequence is symbolic itself but the entire Wedding at Cana is a study of Christ's entire ministry. Let's go to this wedding with Jesus and celebrate! 
Even early in Jesus' ministry, we may not understand the why. Certainly, the disciples had questions. In this, we are to take Mary's message to heart. Just do whatever he tells you to do.
