Listen "The Redemption Circle"
Episode Synopsis
While I read Matthew 11:27, this was knocking around in my head: Jesus said: “No one can come to Me unless the Father draws him”.
So, let's begin with that seeming paradox - Matthew 11:27..
Jesus said, ‘All things have been handed over to Me by My Father; no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal Him.’
See me dilemma?
I couldn’t figure out who was giving and who was receiving. Was the Father sending people to the Son, or was the Son sending people to the Father?
The revelation for me came with this understanding: the recognition of how much the Father wants fellowship with his creation. We need to understand His love for us.
Once you grasp that, you begin to see God acting as a team where the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit have specific roles to play. The sovereign Father delivers hearts open to transformation to the Son. The Son, by his redemptive work and sanctification redeems them, reuniting God with His Creation. The Holy Spirit indwells the saved individual, completing the Redemptive Circle. God is now in fellowship with you, His creation. God loves you that much!
The entire Bible is a rescue plan where all three persons of the Godhead play a unique role.
This is God's greatest play in the playbook. It is sort of like a quarterback sneak where the quarterback gets the ball back.
PS: Your the ball ; )
