We discuss the meaning of us being created in the Image of God as a simile. Just as Hashem is the Actor of and upon the world so to we are actors in the world. It is God’s will that we should know this fact and embrace it. We then use the plot of A Picture of Dorian Grey by Oscar Wilde as an analogy to this idea.
