Listen "Why Do Bad Things Happen to Good People?"
Episode Synopsis
Why Do Bad Things Happen to Good People? It's a question that echoes through the heart: Why do bad things happen to good people? When we see kind, loving individuals suffer, it feels unfair and unsettling. Even the Bible acknowledges this mystery. In Psalm 73, the writer confesses confusion over why the wicked seem to prosper while the righteous struggle. Yet by the end, he finds peace—not in answers, but in God's presence. Jesus Himself, the most innocent of all, endured betrayal, pain, and death. His suffering wasn't meaningless—it was redemptive. Our trials may not always make sense now, but God promises they will not be wasted. Romans 8:28 assures us, "In all things God works for the good of those who love Him." Hardship does not mean God has forgotten us. In fact, it's often in those moments we draw closest to Him. Through suffering, our faith is refined, our hearts softened, and our compassion deepened. If you're hurting today, know this: God sees you, loves you, and walks with you. One day, all things will be made right. Until then, hold onto His promises, and trust that your pain has purpose. "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted…" – Psalm 34:18
