Listen "Overcoming Shame"
Episode Synopsis
Shame is a heavy burden, one that whispers lies about our worth and keeps us from fully experiencing God's love. It tells us that we are too broken, too sinful, or too far gone to be redeemed. But the truth is, shame has no place in the heart of a child of God. In Isaiah 61:7, God promises, "Instead of your shame you will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace you will rejoice in your inheritance." His love is greater than our past, and His grace covers every failure. Jesus took our shame to the cross, so we no longer have to carry it. When shame tries to keep you bound, remind yourself of who you are in Christ. You are forgiven (1 John 1:9), you are loved (Romans 8:38-39), and you are made new (2 Corinthians 5:17). God doesn't see you through the lens of your past mistakes but through the righteousness of His Son. Lay your shame at His feet today. Let His love wash over you, and walk in the freedom that only He can give. You are His, and His grace is more than enough.
