My guests today are the wonderful husband/wife couple, Joe and Tamara Rice. I met Joe first when we worked together and I was immediately impressed with his proficient technical skills and friendly demeanor to non-techies like me. Joe started building websites in New York City during the dot-com heydays where he eventually met his wife Tamara. He would later get his masters in computer science, but he would also venture into the entrepreneurial world as a co-founder of ABC Insights, which was eventually acquired in 2020.  Tamara also has a technical background, working as a web producer in-house at both The Weather Channel and National Geographic before eventually leading a team of developers for high-profile clients like Major League Baseball and Pepsi. She would eventually start her own website development firm, Slice Interactive, as well as become an adjunct instructor at UNC teaching in the school of Journalism and Media. In this conversation, they share their individual entrepreneurial journey and how they weaved together their professional and personal lives from traveling the world to eventually settling down in North Carolina to raise their family.
