Greetings friends, we are reading in the New Living Translation of the Bible. We are in Luke Chapters 3 and 4, I want to encourage you to stay for the whole podcast episode because immediately after the scripture reading we will be praying for you.
The ministry of John the Baptist was so timely. The people of God were ready for the Messiah. It was with the message of God that John the Baptist went. He went out to prepare a people to meet the Lord. He came baptizing men and women telling them to repent and get ready for God's kingdom. 
During his baptisms, Jesus came on the scene to demonstrate the kingdom principle of being born of water and Spirit Himself. Remember that Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. John submitted and so did Jesus by this act the Righteousness of God is fulfilled. Now we have a pattern to follow after and apply to our own lives.
