Savitri dares to journey through the eternal Night, following Satyavan as Death herds him through the Inconscient. The immense refusal of the ignorant, eternal NO in the origin of things falls upon Savitri’s consciousness. She suffers the fierce spiritual agony of a dream, and loses sight of her beloved Satyavan. But Savitri lives in spite of Death. She conquers her dark dream and a faint, pale gleam of immortal light begins to glow in the darkness. It grows until Savitri can again see the luminous shade of Satyavan moving on in front of her.
