Polgar sponsors various chess tournaments for young players and is the head of the Susan Polgar Institute for Chess Excellence (SPICE) at Webster University. She served as the Chairperson of the FIDE Commission for Women's Chess from 2008 until late 2018.We talk about her upbringing in Hungary with her two sisters Grandmaster Judit Polgar and International Master Sofia Polgar, her strategy during the 1996 Women's World Championship, the art of perseverance, her friendship with Bobby Fischer, the Polgar Chess Center in Rego Park, New York, the Susan Polgar Institute for Excellence, the benefits of chess scholarships, the Wesbster University Chess team, global diversity, women in chess and virtual learning.
