Specifically, they focus on the way in which after Christ's crucifixion, everything seems to go on just as before – even though Jesus has brought an end to sin and death through the cross. They talk about how the message of the young man – do not be afraid – is incomplete without an appearance of the risen Jesus to apply his word of absolution.
