Considering the collectivist ideology expressed in the New Testament, it’s a wonder America became a nation of individualism:

“Indeed, it is easier for a camel to pass through an eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God." - Luke 18:25
“All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need.” - Acts 2:44-45
“Bear one another's burdens.” - Galatians 6:2
“Do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.” - Galatians 5:13
“Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” - Matthew 25:40
“They must be silenced, since they are upsetting whole families by teaching for shameful gain.” - Titus 1:11
“Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.” - Matthew 5:5

It’s bad but The Golden Rule still makes sense:
Luke 6:31 - "Do to others as you would have them do to you"
