Distributism is not about government forced redistribution. Distributism is based on the idea that both economics and politics are subject to ethics because both exist to serve the common good of society. Because economic activity is how we provide for our personal and family needs, there is a moral aspect to all economic activity. Distributism is for those who desire the freedom that comes with both economic and political independence, and who accept the personal and social responsibility it requires.
