Iain Nairn picked up his MBE in the 2021 Queens Honours for his contribution to physical disabilities cricket.
From crying through the final over of the World Cup winning match to drinking “legs of ale” in the changing room he gives a masterclass in remaining positive despite all odds. Staggeringly to say that he actually feels lucky to have lost his foot as it opened doors for him without changing his life too much.
Admittedly an emotional person he also does not share his emotions too much and tries instead to keep his emotions level to avoid peaks and troughs but does warn of the risks of walking around with a dangerous weapon and on how much it can hurt to clip your other ankle.
