Listen "Every Brilliant Thing"
Episode Synopsis
This one-man show is fundamentally the story of living life in the shadow of suicide. A kid makes lists for his mom, of everything worth living for in this world. From the time he is seven years old, through high school, into college, through marriage, and beyond. The list grows enormous in his effort to offer reasons for not giving up on life. Isaac is the rudder, but each evening can be different. After sitting through an amazing rehearsal with an audience, we sat down to talk about this highly unique show. In our conversation, Isaac reflects on his takeaway; in part, "Happiness is real when it's shared".
