Depending on your topic, someone has probably already recorded a podcast on the exact same subject. Maybe you’re listening to a show that is inspiring you to record your own episode on that very topic. The point here is, there is nothing wrong with drawing inspiration, but be sure you are adding in your own unique flavor. Don’t just repeat what you’ve heard. Find a way to make the topic your own and add some value to the conversation. This could lead to opportunities to cross-promote to other podcasts’ audiences or even guest star on other podcasts as an expert.
