At Dutch Design Week, Eindhoven University of Technology shows its Drivers of Change. Maarten Steinbuch sees highly relevant technology. Yet a design event like DDW is in particular an opportunity to create societal awareness and also to boost the Societal Readiness Level of an idea. Innovation is not only about bringing up the Technology Readiness. Great ideas at TU/e that address the big challenges. We saw a brand new car design, designed with sustainability in mind, that impressed even Maarten Steinbuch. Also at DDW, the Eindhoven Engine host workshops to help illiterate people to cope with gaining access to information.
