Episode Synopsis

When Isaiah encountered God's holiness, he was undone. He pronounced woe upon himself. We would do well to take sin as seriously as the prophet did. In this episode, I sing my woe out to God and ask him to purify me as he did Isaiah.
Woe to Me
Verse 1:
Woe to me! My heart unclean! My sin of - fends the holy King! Woe to me!
Woe to me! I am undone! No righteousness that is my own! Woe to me!
Chorus 1:
Lord, please purify my heart!
Purge each hidden sinful part!
Help me make a brand new start!
Purify my heart!
Verse 2:
Woe to me! My lips and tongue utter words I should not speak! Woe to me!
Woe to me! My mouth, it speaks, anger when it should speak peace! Woe to me!
Chorus 2:
Lord, please purify my mouth!
Guard each word that I let out!
Help me speak your words of truth!
Purify my mouth!
Verse 3:
Woe to me! My feet, they run, along the path that leads to death! Woe to me!
Woe to me! My steps, they stray, from God’s holy, narrow way! Woe to me!
Chorus 3:
Lord, please purify my feet!
Order every step I take!
Guide me in the narrow way! Purify my feet!
Ending:
Purify my mouth! Purify my heart!
