Psalm 29 inspired the song I share today. It speaks of the greatness of God's voice and, if heard with a willing heart, inspires obedience.
The Voice of the Lord (Psalm 29)
Verse 1:
The voice of the Lord shouts over the waters; The voice of the Lord thunders like the sea. The voice of the Lord breaks mighty cedars; The voice of the Lord lays bare each tree.Chorus: Glory, glory, glory, glory, to the Lord, our God on high!
Verse 2:
The voice of the Lord, it strikes like lightning; The voice of the Lord flashes cross the sky. The voice of the Lord brings death to the desert; The voice of the Lord leaves the land bone-dry.
Verse 3: The voice of the Lord rules over nations; The voice of the Lord brings kingdoms low. The voice of the Lord shakes every mountain; The voice of the Lord casts strong men down.
Verse 4: The voice of the Lord will be heard forever; The voice of the Lord will never cease. The voice of the Lord will bless his people; The voice of the Lord will bring them peace.
