Listen "Phonons podcast 033 - Unbroken Dub"
Episode Synopsis
Denis Safiullin (Unbroken Dub) is a Russian musician, DJ and a representative of the Hot Wax team from Tyumen.
He began to show musical activity in 2007, the first major result of which was the launch of the label Rawax.
Initially, this label has been focused solely on the release of Denis’ music, but later on it published other artists such as Neil Landstrumm, Matt Star, Jordan Fields, Unbalance and Alex Danilov.
Being a big fan of soviet analog synths and of all kinds of experiments with samples, Denis managed to achieve originality of his compositions, and enlist the support of many members of the club industry around the world. Thus, in 2012, he made his debut on the famous Dutch label Delsin with Checkpoint EP released on vinyl, which included three original works: mystical track called «Det special»; «Insane», enhancing the degree of space perception; and a mundane song «I want to make this louder».
The geography of the Denis’ shows corresponds to his success and his sets are always full of contrasts and are on the edge of playing house and techno music. In the spring of 2014, he played his sets in two Berlin clubs, and was a guest of the party Analog Room in Dubai.
