Episode Synopsis "Broken Hosannas"
On Sunday March 24, 2024 (Palm Sunday), Henry Krause spoke on “Broken Hosannas” and the theatrical nature of Jesus' last week before his crucifixion. In many ways, Jesus' donkey ride to Jesusalem can be seen as a performance art. Jesus instructed his followers about the steps needed to prepare his entrance, then showed up to the crowd as they cheered him on. When thought about this way, the donkey ride wasn't an item to check off on Jesus' bucket list, but a means to make a political statement to his people. [JS] The service took place at St. Mary Magdalene at 3:30 pm. Communion was served.
