At 28 years old Mandi was handed a diagnosis of stage IIIc high grade serous carcinoma ovarian cancer, accompanied with an unforgiving 20% survival rate of 5 years.  14 years later she is not just surviving,  but thriving.   In support of  women with ovarian cancer, she decided to embark on a once in lifetime trek to base camp at Mt Everest.  Tune in to to this podcast to hear her experience and lessons learned along the way. She talks about why she decided to say YES to this once in a lifetime hike through the unforgiving terrain.

 “I climbed for me, to remind myself of my beating heart, the breath in my lungs and the gift of life I have been blessed with. I said yes because although my body once betrayed me, She is still whole and full and functional. I said yes to remind myself that I am still alive. I said yes because there are thousands of women that can’t.”
