What makes the resurrection so spectacular and so important is a fact that everyone instinctively understands, and that is dead people don't come back from the dead. This is something that everyone knows today and it is something that everyone knew in the first century. But yet, the story of the resurrection of Christ persists to this day. Not to mention people of every generation have proclaimed the resurrection of Jesus even in the face of persecution and death. Why is that? It is because all of the evidence points to the fact that Jesus did what no one else has ever done, he rose from the grave! That is why we celebrate Easter. Jesus did the impossible, proving that sin and death have been conquered and that he can do what he promised which was to save us from our sin! Yes, the resurrection was a miracle.
