Scripture Reading: Ecclesiastes 7:26

Ecclesiastes 7:26 – “I discovered that a seductive woman is a trap more bitter than death… those who are pleasing to God will escape her, but sinners will be caught in her snare.”

2 Corinthians 8:1-2 – “They are being tested by many troubles, and they are very poor. But they are also filled with abundant joy, which has overflowed in rich generosity.”

In today’s Daily Devotions, Pastor Sumrall reminds us of two truths we often overlook. A life that pleases God provides protection from temptation and sin—when we walk in holiness, snares lose their power.

He also shares how generosity is tied to joy. People filled with God’s presence become joyful, and from that joy, generosity naturally flows into their families, relationships, and service to God.
