Scripture for Today: Philippians 2:29–30 (ESV) – “So receive him in the Lord with all joy, and honor such men, for he nearly died for the work of Christ, risking his life to complete what was lacking in your service to me.”

In today’s Daily Devotions with Pastor David Sumrall, we are reminded that while some leaders may disappoint, there are faithful pastors and servants of God who truly deserve honor. Paul commends Epaphroditus as a true brother, coworker, fellow soldier, and messenger who loved God’s people and risked his life for the work of Christ.

As believers, we are encouraged to welcome such faithful leaders in the Lord’s love, receive them with joy, and show honor for their labor in serving God’s people. When good pastors visit, it should be a moment of gratitude and encouragement, as we recognize their sacrifice and devotion to the ministry.
