Dave Douglas plays trumpet, composes, and teaches. His new record is Alloy.
Dave is a deep communicator. His compositions and his playing come from Dave’s inquisitive nature, and his altruism. He’s a realist with an imagination, who can see what’s so as well as what could be.
The new record includes fellow celebrated artists, Alexandra Ridout and David Adewumi on trumpet, Patricia Brennan on vibes, Kate Pass on bass and Rudy Royston on drums.These folks bring friendship and generous sharing to the music.
Alloy is inspired by personal experiences and current events.  Dave talks about these inspirations and more with Baruch.
