Talked w Dr. Kendall Nettles, Professor/Researcher at Scripps in Jupiter, FL. Much of the work at Scripps Florida is geared toward basic biomedical research. Professor Nettles and his team are doing Breast Cancer research and with the newer technology are able to identify different proteins on the cells and how estrogen/estrogen inhibiting drugs affect them. They are working towards creating treatments that are more effective for patients that don't responds to current hormone therapies. We discussed breakthroughs in T-cell therapies regarding lymphoma and how researchers are trying to adapt that delivery system to other diseases.
