Listen "Episode #33 - A Toast To Planning A COVID Wedding with Julie & Co. Events"
Episode Synopsis
Over the past 15 months, Julie McNamara and her team at Julie and Co., along with many other event planners and vendors, have had to recreate their event planning checklists to enhance weddings, events and other micro gatherings, keeping in mind provincial guidelines and regulations around wearing masks, number of guests, social distancing rules, and even whether or not a DJ would be allowed. Julie stumbled into the event planning industry and fell in love with meeting her clients, helping them to bring their vision to life and work with local vendors to make an unforgettable day. However, when the pandemic struck in March 2020, Julie's team had to work with new brides to reschedule or postpone 41 weddings in 2020, along with all of their vendors, while trying to keep everyone positive and hopeful during these unprecedent times.
How do you uninvite guests? What are some alternative ways to have a wedding reception? Should you be asking your guests to prove that they're vaccinated? Julie shares some insight into how she and her team make sure her clients still have the best day, whether it's creating an interactive virtual event, planning a micro wedding, or even an elopement.
