Episode Synopsis "Walking In My Shoes Episode 1"
In this first episode, Misty, a mom of three kids, talks about the challenges of parenting a young child with autism at home, trying to get services at school, and finding OTs and SLPs who are a good fit for her family. We had to cut the conversation a little short because the kids came home from school a little early. It was a Friday afternoon after all! If you are an OT or SLP, I hope you'll take to heart what Misty said about what her son and her family need from both home-based and school-based teams. If you have any comments, questions, or have suggestions for topics to address in upcoming episodes, please feel free to comment or email me through otbtherapy.com. Thanks for listening!
