We know that when we have a physical problem, we tell the doctor what the symptoms are so that they can diagnosis the underlying problem. Today we are seeing God’s people becoming more distressed with each passing day. The symptoms indicate a disease that grows worse every day. God’s word tells us it is caused by God’s people, believers, disregarding the truth and are being caught up in the things of the world. So how can we stop this disease and change the course? The remedy is to change our direction, toward God. The passage we want to look at this morning gives us an example and principles on how to do this.
