Listen "The transformation of Kings Cross"
Episode Synopsis
Welcome to the first ever 'Out and About With Vincent Burke'.This episode looks at the transformation on Kings Cross in central London. Twenty years ago the area was blighted by drug-dealing, prostitution and other criminal activity. However, it has been regenerated into one of London's most vibrant communities. It is now an attractive business location, research hub and cultural destination. In this episode, I speak to people from leading King Cross-based organisations including Dr Gunes Taylor from The Crick Institute and Helen Wallace from Kings Place arts centre.
