Money – a topic that never exits conversations in culture. It touches each one of our lives. And if it's at the forefront of your thoughts in the morning or at night, you're not alone.  That said, we serve a God who wants the best for us. When it comes to money, fear & anxiety have no space in God's plan for our lives. His will for our life is peace. But why does God care so much about money? Scripture abounds with words concerning it; even Jesus mentioned this during his ministry: "For where your treasure is, there your heart will also be." (Matthew 6:21)  God cares about your finances because He cares about your heart.  From Onechurch's Generosity Sunday, Pastor Filmore gives an honest talk about money. Primarily sharing from Philippians 1 & 4 (but also drawing references from various verses), we are walked through a framework of what it means to go beyond being consumers and stepping into a partnership with the work God has been establishing. God's will for our life is peace, but we are reminded that if we want God's will, it means embracing His way.  Relentlessly, we see God exemplify generosity. In scripture we see how God gave His only son. He is a giver. From creation to breath, to strength in our everyday life – God is persistently proving the attribute of giving. We all individually hold abilities, but it is grace that's been given that empowers our efforts. Every good thing within our lives is from above.  So, if God's way is generosity, what happens when we give?  This episode answers that question.
