Listen "The True You: Citizen of Heaven"
Episode Synopsis
Are you letting guilt determine who you are or leaning into who you already are in Christ? This week, Pastor Filmore continues our series by reminding us of our true citizenship in Heaven. God offers transformation through His truth in a world that tries to shape us through shame, pressure, and performance. Before He ever gives us instruction, He gives us identity. We're not striving to become someone else, but we are learning to embody who we already are in Christ. We are merely passing through this world, and that means our cravings, our convictions, and our perspective should look different from the culture around us. When we spend time leaning into what God has to offer and what He says about us our appetites begin to change. Our perspective deepens. And our hearts start to break for what breaks His. This message is a call to lay down our old labels and live with eternity in mind. Our faith walk takes effort. Our loyalty must belong to Jesus first. And above all, we must remember: we are no longer defined by old scripts, shame, or sin. We are citizens of heaven, called to live like it.
