The race for artificial intelligence is just getting started. In light of this, I am interviewing Prof. Theodore Lechterman, who has just arrived from Oxford's Institute of Ethics and Artificial Intelligence, to talk about the future that is already here. Who should decide how it is built? What could go wrong? And what could go right? Ranging from topics of biased algorithms, the Dilemma of self-driving cars, and how artificial intelligence could increase criminal injustice.

- Prof. Theodore Lechterman has recently arrived from the Institute for Ethics in AI at the University of Oxford. He is currently working as an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at IE University, teaching how democratic values apply when private and artificial agents exercise power. He has held previous appointments at the Hertie School, Goethe University, and Stanford University. He received his Ph.D. from Princeton and A.B. from Harvard and spent time in between on social advocacy and policy research.
