Shaun and Paul are in breaking down the disappointing loss to the Detroit Lions at home on Sunday. This game was a great example of what happens when Big Blue can't stick to their offensive script. The Lions were dedicated to stopping Saquon Barkley, and multiple changes across the offensive line aided that cause.
Despite moving the ball well through the air, an untimely early turnover further pushed the Giants into a whole, one the defense did little help them out of. Shaun reiterates his disgust in having Adoree Jackson back on special teams, Paul highlights the very poor play from the linebackers and in the end the Giants lost.
While it was certainly one most fans had marked down as a win this season, as the hosts note - the Giants are still a 7-3 football team with their season very much in their own hands. The big question now becomes are injuries at key positions starting to pile up at just the wrong moment? With Dallas looming on a short Thanksgiving week, Brian Daboll and the coaching staff will once again need to rally the "next man up" mentality.
