Listen "Giants lose at home, with Daniel Jones battles against Dallas defensive front"
Episode Synopsis
Shaun and Paul come in for the first postgame podcast that follows a loss. The white out was on, but the Giants were off - falling 23-16 to the Dallas Cowboys at home. There was plenty to be frustrated by in this one and the One Giant Step hosts dive right in.
The Giants simply put, lost in all phases. The offensive line certainly struggled, and Paul won't let rookie Evan Neal off the hook. Mistakes happen, but understanding and execution matter not only for the O-Line but also the chipping TE. Shaun has mark Glowinski on his short list of irritants coming out of week three as well.
Daniel Jones did all he could, and this was not a game where evaluation of the fourth year QB was really possible. Jones used his legs to extend plays and drives, but the wide receiver room did little to aid the cause.
Wink Martindale has pulled all the right strings through two games for the Big Blue defense, but in week three Cooper Rush might as well have been throwing in warmups. The return of Azeez Ojulari and debut of rookie Kayvon Thodeaux did not result in pressure vs the backup QB and the absence of Leonard Williams in the middle was felt throughout this contest.
