What the heck happened on Wall Street and the rest of the Global Market on September 4 and 5 of 2020? Global markets fell most since June 2020, with the US Nasdaq even hitting a May 2020 low, losing over 5% in one session. It seems that doubt crept into investors’ minds about whether equities have risen too quickly and valuations are reaching extremes. Volatility has gained momentum again. Was the sell off just a quick correction? Are people worried about the continuation of the Covid19 pandemic and look weary ahead to THE key political event in November: the US Presidential election? Over that period the S&P 500 gained about + 60 %, the DOW was up a good + 56% and the Technology driven Index, the Nasdaq, gained a stunning +75 %. Sustainable? A bubble? What do investors (private and institutional) think, feel and most importantly expect from the financial markets for the rest of 2020?
