Episode Synopsis
In this episode, we visit the exhibition Impressionism: Pathways to Modernity with the exhibition’s curators Sylvie Patry and Stéphane Guégan, respectively Chief Curator, Deputy Director for Curatorial Affairs and Collections at Musée d’Orsay, and Advisor to the Presidency of the Musée d’Orsay and the Musée de l’Orangerie. The exhibition brings together more than 150 masterpieces and features pioneering works by Manet, Monet, Renoir, Morisot, Cézanne... inviting visitors to explore why Impressionism was considered so shocking in the 19th century and how it paved the way for the artistic revolutions that were to come.
