Episode Synopsis
For this episode, Black Box Algorithms, the Gateway way will explore the unknown world of artificial intelligence while contemplating the ethical and social implications of utilizing technologies we don’t fully understand. To help us navigate this black mirror of existence, the gateway is excited to have Dr. Amin Vahedian. Amin is currently an Assistant Professor of Information Systems with Northern Illinois University. He received a Ph.D. in Business Analytics in 2019 at the University of Iowa. With a background in engineering, Amin enjoys research and teaching at the intersection of Applied Computing and Business. His research interests are in Business Analytics, Machine Learning, Deep Learning Applications and Spatial Big Data Analytics. His work has resulted in numerous top tier journal publications in addition to several presentations and proceedings in highly selective conferences.
