They say that perception is reality. (Not sure who "they" are.) Perception may be somebody's reality, but it does not mean that someone's perception is truth. One of the big challenges in all relationships is the different perceptions people have and in marriage, those differing perceptions can lead to conflict. Understanding the other person's perceptions are important in buiding and maintaining healthy relationships. Good communication skills, as in so many aspects of marriage, is key when it comes to diverse perceptions.
