Episode Synopsis

In this podcast Mark Day lists some highlights from his time in Newman, including when the Fortescue River ran, and the building of the Ophthalmia Dam, which was a great venue for wind surfing. He outlines how and why he left in 1996 and moved to Queensland to a coal mine. He recalls some significant changes in the town during his time there, and then summarises his overall experience of Newman.
