Listen "SEELEWASCHEN(2004-2018)- generative sound environment - BINAURAL"
Episode Synopsis
Binaural recording - listen with headphones!
Binaural rendering of Karlheinz Essl's sound environment SEELEWASCHEN which was originally composed for an outdoor light installation by the German artist Rainer Gottemeier. Using the sound of one single bell stroke as its basic material, the piece unfolds a rich sonic cosmos by a computer program written in Max/MSP. By using random-controlled algorithms from the composer's Realtime Composition Library (RTC-Lib), the piece is generated in realtime. It can be perceived as a sonic organism which might serve as a source for inspiration and meditation.
