After 3 and half years with Jesus, his disciples experienced the worst thing they could have imagined.  They saw their teacher, their friend, their mentor, their Lord…arrested, put on a sham trial, sentenced, tortured and killed.  There are events that happen in our lives that shake us.  Those events can crush us, they can scare us, or they can wake us up.  During these kinds of events, often people gain new perspective about themselves that they might not have had before.  They see places where they are stronger than they realized.  They see areas where they could have or should have done better.  They see where they missed opportunities and they see places where they forgot to be thankful.  In short, it is often the worst parts of life that make us most ready for God to pour into, because they are where we examine the kinds of things we are going to talk about in this episode. 
 
When Jesus was killed, the disciples found their batteries empty.  They ran and hid, afraid for their lives.  You never know how much you have in you until the moment you need it the most.  As we examine this list of 7 attitudes, principles, and practices, I encourage you to check these against your own life to make
sure you are working in them all so that when the time comes and you need it the most, you’ll find the power of God ready, present, and working within your
life.
