Sacrifice is a powerful word that can conjure up powerful images and feelings.  When you hear that word, you might think about an animal being slaughtered on an altar.  You might think about soldiers fighting to defend others.  You might think of police officers or firefighters.  You might think of a mother or father who works to provide for their children.  When you think about sacrifice, there are a number of things you might think of, but one thing is for sure…those images come attached to some powerful emotions.  Why?  It’s because we have all been affected by someone else’s sacrifice in some way or another.

Sacrifice does not only have an effect on us…it can have an effect on God, as well.  Sacrifice is close the heart of God as much as it is close to our hearts.  Sacrifice can be incredibly effective when it comes to activating God’s hand in your life.  When you are in a place where you have done all you can do or when you are in a place where you are facing something you will never be strong enough to handle, going to God from a place of sacrifice is a very powerful thing.  If you have been praying and praying for something and you have not seen an answer yet, consider offering God a sacrifice.
