Kate Sullivan is Owner & CEO of Virtually Connected Solutions, an online business management and virtual assistant agency. Virtually Connected Solutions strategically partners with online and brick and mortar business owners, entrepreneurs and executives to help manage their back-end administration and day-to-day operations remotely, so they can focus on what really matters, freeing up their time to grow their business, resulting in greater profitability and a more balanced lifestyle. Some of the services offered include: Operations management • Establishing systems for billing, client relationships, work flow and, communications Project management • Outsourcing, managing, and tracking the completion of the day-to-day tasks of your client’s team Human resources • Overseeing the hiring process, onboarding and training, supervision, team meetings, health & safety as well as performance reviews and offboarding Boards and governance • Providing advice and overseeing board and governance processes for corporate and non-for-profits Virtual assistance • Offering a full range of virtual assistant services to help you with everything from basic administration to more complex project management functions Kate offers over 25 years experience working in corporate C-Suite positions as Board Coordinator and Corporate Secretary, in both private industry and all three levels of government (municipal, provincial, and federal). Her expertise is in helping organizations get organized and operate seamlessly by assisting with operational, administrative and HR matters. Kate has been an active volunteer and community leader for the past 25 years. She current serves as Chair of Bedford Residents Association and started a new walking group in the community of Bedford West. She most recently served as Chair for the Active Transportation Committee (appointed by HRM Council) and as Chair of Engage Mainland North, a community-based roundtable, having organized the community’s first tree lighting. Kate also served as past founder and coordinator of the Clayton Park and Fairview Neighbourhood Watch program; is a former member of the Chebucto West Community Health Board; and a founding member and former Chair of Equal Voice NS. In May 2016, she received a volunteer recognition award for serving Mainland North; and in May 2017, was awarded a Volunteer of the Year award by both the Municipality and the Province. She was recognized twice in the NS Legislature for her volunteer efforts. Kate graduated from Saint Mary’s University, Halifax with a focus on business and human resource management. She is internationally certified as a virtual assistant and online business manager (pending November). She lives in Bedford West with her two cats, the best co-workers ever – Rocci & Rolli.
