Rabbanit Alissa was ordained at Yeshivat Maharat and is a Board Certified Chaplain. She is  a full-time staff chaplain at New York-Presbyterian Columbia University Irving Medical Center where she specializes in end-of-life care, palliative care, and psychiatric care. She also serves on the clergy team at Congregation Netivot Shalom in Teaneck, NJ, where she resides with her family.
