This is Part 4 in the series: Let’s Talk: Interfaith Voices on Israel. In this series, Rabbanit Alissa Thomas-Newborn, President of Neshama:Association of Jewish Chaplains, engages in dialogue with diverse faith leaders across America to discuss their personal and religious connections to Israel in a series co-sponsored by NAJC, Moishe House, the International Rabbinic Fellowship and Congregation Netivot Shalom of Teaneck, NJ. Each virtual event in this series features a positive interfaith bridge-builder. In this program Rabbanit Alissa is in conversation with Anila Ali. A native of Pakistan, Anila Ali is a retired California public school teacher, Muslim philanthropist, author, and women rights advocate. This conversation was recorded on May 17, 2024 and aired before an online audience of NAJC members on May 19, 2024.
