Listen "FIRESTORM"
Episode Synopsis
Firestorm, the Nuclear Man — how the heck does his head work? How can his head be on fire all the time and not burn down everything around him?The good news is it’s not really fire. It’s actually a visualization of glowing nuclear energy. This is super-glowing energy that resulted from two people’s bodies being fused into one. Unlike real fire, this energy doesn’t burn down houses, hurt anyone, or destroy anything in particular. It doesn’t hurt him at all. But Firestorm can turn it into a weapon if he wants to. His burning head is, in essence, an atomically stylized hairdo.Firestorm isn’t just one person. He’s the quantum molecular fusion of two individuals: a host body and a passenger mind. High school student Ronnie Raymond is the host, while Martin Stein — a Nobel Peace Prize–winning physics professor — is the guiding mind. When these two people fused together in a nuclear explosion, it created a symbolic metaphor: nuclear fusion creates energy. In Firestorm’s case, that energy manifested as an eternal flame of harmless, superheated particles on his head. The fusion of these two individuals produced an excess of energy that constantly vents outward. This isn’t ordinary fire — it’s nuclear plasma energy created by the fusion of two people. A constant surplus of nuclear quantum energy. His head symbolizes what Firestorm truly is: a living reactor.
