From the Heart of a Mother





This Mother’s Day, we hear a message from the heart of God, expressed through the hearts of mothers. We celebrate not only those who have given birth, but every woman who nurtures, leads, and loves with a mother’s heart—whether in homes, workplaces, classrooms, or communities. Through the stories of three women in different seasons of motherhood, we can all discover the joys, struggles, and spiritual depth found in caring for others. This message isn’t just for moms—it’s for all of us, because we’re all children of God, invited to experience His comfort, strength, and compassion in deeply personal ways.

In what ways have you found your identity shifting in different life seasons, especially in parenting or caregiving roles? How can we root ourselves more in being a child of God than in what we do? 



Psalm 127:3 says children are a “heritage” and “reward” from the Lord. How can we better reflect God’s view of children—even in hard or exhausting seasons? 



Ecclesiastes 3:1 and 3:11 talk about the beauty and purpose in every season. What season are you currently in, and what does surrender to God look like for you right now? 



Psalm 23 and John 10 both paint God as a Shepherd—present, protective, and sacrificial. How does this image encourage you personally as you care for others or walk through challenging seasons?
